Our school is helping to contribute to Operation Christmas Child this year. This is a program that send shoeboxes of supplies to kids all over the world who are in need. This year, they are trying to make it easier by collecting one particular item each month so that the boxes will be ready to be packed in November. This helps save people who want to donate from having to buy items all at one time during the busy holiday season. Our school is also having a contest within each room to see who can contribute the most. There will be a contest from now until May with a winning classroom earning a pizza party and then we will start over with a new homeroom at the beginning of school next year for another contest! Here is a schedule of items needed and the month they will be collected for the contests. This will be helpful to keep in case you find any good sales, clearance items, or have any great coupons for items on the list!
Thanks in advance for helping out these kids! This also teaches our students a valuable lesson on giving and will touch their hearts greatly.
